Explore a collection of forts custom designed and built by local architects, designers and artists for the Mollie Steves Zachry Texas Arboretum. Stop and build your own fort at Fort Build too.
These creative spaces will transport you to imaginary worlds and spark an appreciation for art and nature — and the curious, wonderful ways in which they intersect. Your secret hideout awaits!
Entry is included with regular admission.
As always, admission is free for members and UT Austin faculty, staff and students. Become a member today!?
Members also get early access beginning at 8 a.m. every day for Member Mornings.
Pick up a free Passfort field journal when you check in for your visit. With a mini map and many creative prompts for stimulating the imagination, there's space to doodle, document, journal and invent! It's a great way to spend time alone reflecting or working together to observe nature and Fortlandia in a new way. Passforts are available to Fortlandia explorers of any age and are dual language — English and Spanish.
Note: Out of respect for the trees in the Texas Arboretum, please don't waste paper! Please only take as many Passforts as you need for members of your group who want one, and don't let them become litter. Didn't get to fill in all those pages? Pack your Passfort with you the next time you visit!
